
BNP placed their seven-point demand, including the release of prisoner Begum Khaleda Zia before the announcement of election schedule.
The party’s other demands are to dissolve the current parliament and resignation of the government, create a level-playing field by withdraw all the political cases and release all the political prisoners, reconstitution of Election Commission, deploy army and discard electronic voting machines (EVMs) in the up coming election.
Today on Sunday from it’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital it also announced 12-point vision of the party.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who presided over the rally, read out the demands and the visions of the party.
Mirza Fakhrul said they will hold rallies across the country on Octaber 3 and submit a memorandum to deputy commissioners, it will hold rallies on cities on October 4 and submit a memorandum to the divisional commissioners.
The rally began around 2pm. Hundreds of party leaders and activists gathered at the venue in small processions since morning.
